The
Image Description Tool is one of the
tools in the tool box.
When this tool is shown, a text box appears next to each image on pages that have one (example). There is a text box for each language shown on the toolbar.
This tool provides links to information on the internet, such as poet.diagramcenter.org. These links allow you to learn how to write effective image descriptions and reminders you can use to check your descriptions.
The image descriptions remain
in view when the
Talking
Book Tool is shown so you can record
these descriptions. For other tools, they are hidden.
Image descriptions are Alternative Text, which is defined here:
https://www.w3.org/wiki/WebSchemas/Accessibility#accessibilityFeatureindetail.
When you create an ePUB book, you can include image descriptions on pages for accessibility.
Rectangles used with the Motion Tool are hidden while a page with an image is open with the Image Description Tool shown.
Currently, there are no associated Bloom Training videos.
